Home / General Services / Root Canal
This is a restorative dental procedure used to treat an infected, badly damaged, inflamed, or dead tooth. Instead of removing the tooth, your doctor will remove the infected pulp and nerve in the center of the affected tooth. The dental expert will then carefully clean, disinfect and shape the inside of the root canal before filling and sealing the space. Filling and sealing help to prevent bacteria from entering the tooth and causing infections. To further protect the tooth and restore its function, our dentists will place a crown on it.
A root canal may be needed in case of tooth sensitivity that persists, deep decay, chipped or cracked teeth, swollen and painful gums, pimples on your gums, and sharp pain when biting or chewing.
